This was our view on the way to the rented house on top of that hill at the beginning of our vacation...needless to say the view from the house was spectacular. We could see the Golden Gate bridge.
Again, from Yountville, CA, Domaine Chandon. I found this to be a lovely way to carry around way too many glasses of champagne. And my favourite "prise de vue" - a shallow depth of field to emphasize the sunlit glasses.
I know, San Francisco again. Ever heard of fleet week? They have planes flying all over the place all week long and this kind of scene is common place. My eyes couldn't belileve it though, these little planes were contorting around the sky like they were toys.
A very important place for me. China Camp village in San Rafael California. Chinese immigrants fished shrimp here for a while in the 19th and 20th century. Anything Chinese always has a particular place in my soul. Many artifacts still lie around, like this cart with especially great back wheels.
