While I was taking this shot, it occured to me not to cut my shadow out of the frame. I was going for this terrific tree and the sun coming from the back was creating this fun lighting situation, me in it inlcuded! I have lots of shots from this park. I jogged there when I visited San Francisco in October. The problem with that being it was so incredibly breathtaking I kept bringing my camera along and the exercise sort of went out the window.
So finally, I have the beast going again, new hardrive and all. Thank you for your patience with me. In this shot (all shots that survived the "crash" are on b/w neg film) we have the plunging street in Chinatown with, inevitably, the Golden Gate bridge in the background. I loved the roller coaster streets, amazing views. Funny though, in the car, you have moments when you can't even see the pavement, and when you park on one of these buggers, it feels like you're in the space shuttle, waiting for lift off! Now try getting out of the car. Feels like a geometry question in your 4th grade math class, where you need a protractor to figure out the answer, you're on such an angle.
So this is what that full moon looked like on Crescent, that evening with Herbie the love-bug. I am in the midst of construction around me, hence the long delays in posting...but to keep your interest, I'm off to San Fransisco at the end of the month ... and I will be clicking away! No not the Golden gate bridge. Although beautiful, I don't think I will be able to bring you anything new that hasn't been done. I'm gearing more for Chinatown.
